Day 24 - Sep 14

AM Update: trucks from the nearby road were a bit annoying but it was a clear night and I saw a bunch of shooting starts and satttelites. ✨

Afternoon Update: Unfortunately someone decided to steal my trekking poles while I briefly stepped off trail to pee and take some photos of Timothy Lake. I'm guessing they assumed someone left them behind and thought they were being helpful by bringing them to a trailhead. I ran into some course markers for the Mountain Lakes 100 and they said they'll bring the poles to the start line at Ollallie Lake Saturday if they find them at a trailhead or someone with a suspicious extra pair of poles. Annoying, but hopefully won't need them until I see Kjersti Saturday.

PM Update: pretty good day other than the poles. I'm 18ish miles from Ollallie Lake where there's a little store and I'll meet Kjersti for my last resupply!

Much dryer day. Reached the border around 9:30 and started heading back to Hart's Pass. 23 miles again today leaving 44.5 to my finish line at Rainy Pass.

Day 3-19

Am: Best night's sleep of this trip. My watch said restorative with a sleep score of 90; never seen that before. 10 mi to Stehekin bus. Afternoon: Was able to stop at the Stehekin Bakery which was wonderful! They had a GF/Vegan bar along with a Thai Noodle Salad which was incredible. The town of Stehekin is very small but cute. Unfortunately the restaurant is closed until the after the bus leaves so I'll miss the hot meal but I did buy an extra backpacking meal to cook. PM: I enjoyed the 1 hour of WiFi while it lasted 😅 Made it an extra 8 miles out of Stehekin for a daily total of 18. Only 11 miles to Rainy Pass
