Day 22 - Sep 12

AM Update: stayed in bed late today waiting for the rain to die down; getting a late start but the weather is supposed to clear up later so hopefully I can try out my tent around lunch.

PM Update: Sun came out and it ended up being s hot day with great views of Mount Hood. Posted my longest day of trip with 24 miles and ended at the Timberline Lodge. From there I took a bus down to Government CAMP, OR where I can do laundry and pickup my resupply box from the post office.

Much dryer day. Reached the border around 9:30 and started heading back to Hart's Pass. 23 miles again today leaving 44.5 to my finish line at Rainy Pass.

Day 3-19

Am: Best night's sleep of this trip. My watch said restorative with a sleep score of 90; never seen that before. 10 mi to Stehekin bus. Afternoon: Was able to stop at the Stehekin Bakery which was wonderful! They had a GF/Vegan bar along with a Thai Noodle Salad which was incredible. The town of Stehekin is very small but cute. Unfortunately the restaurant is closed until the after the bus leaves so I'll miss the hot meal but I did buy an extra backpacking meal to cook. PM: I enjoyed the 1 hour of WiFi while it lasted 😅 Made it an extra 8 miles out of Stehekin for a daily total of 18. Only 11 miles to Rainy Pass
