Less Than a Week!

My plans are set, resupply boxes packed, and all I have left to do is start hiking! I'll mail out the last 3 boxes before I leave so they won't have to sit too long at their destinations before I pick them up. 

Super stoked to get started and looking forward to sharing the journey with you. I set up this blog where I should be able to send 160 character updates through my Garmin inReach throughout the day. Hopefully I'll be able to edit/format them nicely when I find cell service/wifi throughout the trip. I'll also post photos to the feed at that point. Thanks for following along!

Day 3-22

Much dryer day. Reached the border around 9:30 and started heading back to Hart's Pass. 23 miles again today leaving 44.5 to my finish line at Rainy Pass.

Day 3-19

Am: Best night's sleep of this trip. My watch said restorative with a sleep score of 90; never seen that before. 10 mi to Stehekin bus. Afternoon: Was able to stop at the Stehekin Bakery which was wonderful! They had a GF/Vegan bar along with a Thai Noodle Salad which was incredible. The town of Stehekin is very small but cute. Unfortunately the restaurant is closed until the after the bus leaves so I'll miss the hot meal but I did buy an extra backpacking meal to cook. PM: I enjoyed the 1 hour of WiFi while it lasted 😅 Made it an extra 8 miles out of Stehekin for a daily total of 18. Only 11 miles to Rainy Pass
