PCT Day 6 - Aug 26

Had a great night at the Washington Alpine Club lodge. Got going early this morning then was very distracted by all the blueberry bushes. 

New water filter is amazing (thanks Joe) and is saving me an hour of filter time. No more marmots or pika but I did see two snakes and a large toad. 

Feet really started to feel the mileage today; I'm worried yesterday's rest day gave them false hope. Camp's been set up since 4:30 and I'm just waiting for the sun to set so I can fall asleep.

Much dryer day. Reached the border around 9:30 and started heading back to Hart's Pass. 23 miles again today leaving 44.5 to my finish line at Rainy Pass.

Day 3-19

Am: Best night's sleep of this trip. My watch said restorative with a sleep score of 90; never seen that before. 10 mi to Stehekin bus. Afternoon: Was able to stop at the Stehekin Bakery which was wonderful! They had a GF/Vegan bar along with a Thai Noodle Salad which was incredible. The town of Stehekin is very small but cute. Unfortunately the restaurant is closed until the after the bus leaves so I'll miss the hot meal but I did buy an extra backpacking meal to cook. PM: I enjoyed the 1 hour of WiFi while it lasted 😅 Made it an extra 8 miles out of Stehekin for a daily total of 18. Only 11 miles to Rainy Pass
